Storm Shelter

As part of the Ritz Theatre's Monday Live Arts series, in Minneapolis, I participated with three other artists or artist groups. The only parameters were that whatever you did had to take place inside the allotted rectangle, inside the audience, and it had to be around 15 minutes. I gathered tree debris from a recent severe storm and, covering my face to become anonymous, I built a small, fragile shelter out of the sticks and covered it with a plastic bag tent. The audio was recorded sounds from the backyard: blowing trees, cars, airplanes, birds and insects.
